These images suggest that male illustrators are more popular and common. In the first two images I chose there is an older, white male working on a drawing. They each have a serious look on their face and are hunched over their somewhat messy work station. With the next image there is a male hand on the right side and the image of an illustration in the middle. The image is a half finished yellow and brown brick house. There is a lot of detail included such as each individual brick, windows, trees and grass. With the "better" drawings shown on the internet they still seem to be male dominant. These series of images show that not only are there more men in the illustration field, but the more popular pieces are also created by males.

Claim
To think than an artist can maintain a meat, organized studio while they work is unrealistic. Drawing/ painting studios are not neat if the artist is reaching their full potential. If an artist is more worried about maintaining an organized space while they are working, they loose focus on the actual art. Along with loosing focus they may also loose creativity. Many times seeing a jumbled mess of tools in front of you inspires more out of the box thinking. It can be seen from the images I have found that every artist whom is hard at work, has somewhat of a messy workspace. There is a child with colored pencils sprawled on his desk, an artist's studio with all his supplies surrounding his work, and a woman's hands covered in pain and chalk. All these images show that in order to fully submerge on self in art, all focus has to to on the art itself, not on how neat or organized you are being.
